02. PBL-Light in Regular Classroom

“Gold Standard” PBL projects may be difficult or impossible to develop in a regular classroom with its strictly-timed class schedules. It’s also difficult to for students to actively explore and affect the community during school hours. Teachers in regular schools have learned to do “PBL-Light,” by recognizing the limits and opportunities their classroom and school affords. Below is a sampling of one 5th-grade teacher’s PBL-Light projects that were a regular part of his classroom.
